Goal Setting For Beginners
This is my rant on goal setting - set goals for your marketing as well!! Getting ourselves emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically in tune requires some goals to be set and these goals need to be inspiring enough for you to want to achieve them. Goal setting in all areas of your life is a fantastic way of organising yourself and really achieving your desired outcomes. I have always likened it to a recipe, a recipe for life if you will – get the best ingredients, following … [Read More...]
Self Discipline – Marketing, Book Writing & Success
I began writing a book for all the right reasons: consolidating my knowledge, credibility (yes books still have kudos) my ego loves the title "author" and as a way of reaching people that I would struggle to meet. I think if you do the hard yards and write a book you will be admired as most people have at least one book inside them. My biggest concerns about planning is not implementing the big plan, spending too much time planning and planning for too long into the future. I get nervous when client wants to have a 12 month plan in place by lunch time - which would normally be shelved and never looked at again. A marketing plan should be a shopping list of ACTION - when … [Read More...]
Barbers Shops – How To Market A Low Priced Service
Around the corner from where I live are two barbers shops , side by side and competing for the same foot traffic. I have been to both barbers and fail to see their services being of much difference at all. They cut the average guys hair reasonably well. One has a darkish shop, the other white and orange. One barber has Cyprian roots, the other a weird mediterranean mixed heritage - nothing really redeeming to report on any front. So how does one outshine the other or get more clients than the … [Read More...]
